Kr00k: How KRACKing Amazon Echo Exposed a Billion+ Vulnerable WiFi Devices

Initially discovering that some Amazon Echoes and Kindles were vulnerable to attacks against WPA2 (KRACK), researchers at ESET then found that a related attack, which could enable adversaries to decrypt wireless network packets, affects WiFi chipsets used in over a billion devices including some by Apple, Google, and Samsung.
The vulnerability, dubbed Kr00k by researchers, affects devices with Wi-Fi chips by Broadcom and Cypress—used in a vast range of devices with wireless internet, including Apple, Google, and Samsung phones. But security updates have already been deployed to fix the issue, so the best advice is to make sure your computers, phones, and all internet-connected devices have the latest software and firmware.

How to Shoot Cinematic Product Videos Like Apple or Any.

Syrp (some of the products that we use) is introducing how to do a great product photography and or a video. You don't need to have the same products that Syrp used, substitute when needed.

From the Syrp YouTube Channel:

In the past years, not only have smartphone video capabilities got a lot better, but the way these companies communicate and showcase their products to us has also improved hugely, creating this immediate feeling of “I want that” as soon as you watch one of their ads.

They figured out how to make that emotional connection between the product and you, the consumer. The fear of missing out is a powerful force that all smartphone brands leverage over and over again. But there’s one brand in particular that does it especially well: Apple.

Their marketing campaigns keep getting better and same goes for their storytelling. But there’s something impressively unique about their product shots. They always capture beautifully clean, crisp images and then take it to a whole new level by adding motion. In this video, we replicate from beginning to end three of the most popular product shots used in Apple commercials so you can do the same: the hero shot, the detail shot, and the context shot.

THE CANON's New Flagship EOS-1D X MARK III WILL BREAK DOWN IN 8:40:48 HOURS, According to The Specs

The latest Canon EOS-1DX Mark III is a well endowed camera among other fantastic capabilities. Yet today's focus is on one of those capabilities. The camera is capable of doing 16 fps while the buffer  holds 1000 shots. That means the buffer can hold 62.5 seconds of shooting!
But like any Canon camera, or for that matter, any camera rates their shutter mechanism by the number of shots it can take, before ......fill in the blanks.....
And the EOS-1D X Mark III shutter mechanism has that set for 500,000 shots. So when you bring all together and compute, one could easily reach the barrier by filling the buffer for 500 times (500,000/1000 = 500). Since the buffer filling takes 62.5 seconds, this gives gets une 31,250 seconds: 62,5*500=31,250.  31,250 seconds are 520.83 minutes are 8 hours 40 minutes and 48 seconds. That is when you might have to sent the camera for service :)

Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Leads To Cancellation of CP+ (Camera and Photo Imaging Show) 2020, Yokohama

CP+ 2020

From Camera & Imaging Products Association:

February 14, 2020

Cancellation of CP+ (Camera and Photo Imaging Show) 2020

Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA; President: Masaya Maeda) here announces the cancellation of CP+2020. Given there is no effective treatment or containment measures to deal with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have chosen to cancel CP+2020 because we put top priority on the health and safety of visitors and exhibitors. The event was originally scheduled to be held over 4 days at PACIFICO Yokohama from February 27.

CP+ is a trade show for consumers. The main feature of this show is that visitors can actually handle the newest camera and related equipment to get a feel for how they operate. The event attracts around 70,000 unspecified visitors and therefore we cannot completely eliminate the risk of infection. The CIPA believes it is important to avoid such risk at all cost. While it is truly regrettable, we have decided to cancel this year’s show. We ask for your cooperation and understanding concerning this matter.

Your Code Is In The North Pole!, The GitHub Arctic Code Vault

If you are a developer, I am sure you are on the Github, for your development needs. Even if you are not, it is possible that you visited the site, to grab a project or search for some open source code for your own project. I, for one, have a several projects on the Github. SafeMapper, Guardocs, AirPosse, to name a few
Either way I just want to share that your code or the piece of code that you grabbed, will be preserved for a very long time, in the Arctic World Archive (AWA), a very-long-term archival facility 250 meters deep in the permafrost of an Arctic mountain in the Svalbard archipelago. That is very close to the North Pole! If you are interested in the GitHub Arctic Code Vault, and the other archival projects GitHub is working on, visit https://archiveprogram.github.com/

The GitHub Arctic Code Vault is a data repository preserved in the Arctic World Archive (AWA), a very-long-term archival facility 250 meters deep in the permafrost of an Arctic mountain. The archive is located in a decommissioned coal mine in the Svalbard archipelago, closer to the North Pole than the Arctic Circle. GitHub will capture a snapshot of every active public repository on 02/02/2020 and preserve that data in the Arctic Code Vault.

Fastest Camera Car Rig in the West, GodZillaTrackingRig

Image
#GodZillaTrackingRig Achieved peak GT-R geekery last year. Brand new cylinder head ported & flow tested with oversized valves, springs, aggy cams and the lot. That with the new pistons & rods for the 2.8-litre bottom end should see it good upto 1000bhp & 9000rpm. Or until it (inevitably) shits itself again.

From Nissan;
Mauro Calo, a professional precision driver and automotive video expert known for his work on big-budget blockbuster movies and automotive TV shows, transforms Nissan's sports car into a high-performance camera rig.

Nissan developed the 2020 Nissan GT-R NISMO to be the pinnacle of the iconic nameplate. For maximum performance, the engine was upgraded, its aerodynamics further enhanced, and weight was shed through the meticulous use of exotic materials.

While Nissan helped locate a suitable GT-R to be transformed into a purpose-built camera car, Calo was already working on the design. Once the car arrived, he and his team fitted a bespoke tubular structure that was welded to the chassis and able to hold the weight of the professional carbon-fiber gimbal camera mounting system
